4. Republican Party sold out to the highest bidder.

Are increasingly desperate to remain in power.
Are killing people to prove how it's always someone else's fault.
Are bowing down and worshiping a 300 lb. golden idol.
After throwing mentally ill people out onto the street, they are now complaining there are too many mentally ill people on the street.
Refuse to vote for disaster relief unless it is their state that is flattened.
Refuse to increase pay for the poorest while the richest are drowning in money.
Refuse to increase pay for the poorest and try to stop them from collecting food assistance.
After presiding over 6% unemployment, now 4% seems to mean no one wants to work.
After refusing to do anything about a worldwide plague, they now blame someone who IS trying to do something about a worldwide plague.
I could go on for hours.

My suggestion: go back in. ret5hd Dec 2021 #1

Most of your facts wouldn't have any relevance at all to most Americans in 1955. hedda_foil Dec 2021 #9
True, no one in 1955 could see the future of course. So, wouldn't be relevant anyway. TeamProg Dec 2021 #12
You're right, of course, and then Salk and Sabin fixed it (from a '50s point of view, of course). hedda_foil Dec 2021 #16

Not so much (other than old folks) and practically ancient in the new modern world of the 1950s. hedda_foil Dec 2021 #15
