(21,611 posts)38. Most east is NYC. Not that far away from me
compared to the rest of the country since I am already in NY state, just in the western area. Or, actually, a little farther east, an island off the coast of South Carolina. And also DC, although SC is farther east.
Farthest west is the Arizona desert around Scottsdale.
Farthest south is Florida, Tampa Bay region.
Farthest north - I grew up there, on the southern shore of Lake Erie, with a faint view of Canada across the lake on a clear day. But, farther north than that and still in the US, was Detroit. I'm not far from the Canadian border now, actually, in western NY.
