Large Stout beetle ambling along the floor.
Average-size spider with its web anchored there.
Beetle bumbles through its legs drag sticky strands.
Spider says "what? Who goes there?!"
Spirits down for a closer look "uh, nope. Waaay out of my league."
And back up she goes.
Is her memory that short? Did she have a change of heart?
Two times more she goes down and back up,
and with the third resigns herself high in her web.
The beetle seems oblivious to all save
the sticky strands dragging its legs,
pushing on stalwartly toward its beetle business.
