Especially the use of Dawn. Dawn is easily the most efficacious hard surface cleaner.
Higher active ingredient concentration, uses very hard water tolerant surfactants, and the added amphoteric surfactant, reduces surface charge, so it's more resistant to streaking.
It does have anionic surfactants so, I can leave a film, as these are intended to be rinsed away.
That's why I suggested the product I did above. All nontoxic surfactants so less susceptible to film residue.
This otherwise useful tip does not work well on my car. There is a severe rake of the windshield and a deep dashboard. Getting pressure when reaching that far out is tough.
That's why I like that tool I linked.
