I am sorry if my post upset you.

I have my own business working with truckers, local and OTR. The industry has cleaned up and cleared out the drivers with substance abuse problems. The old days of a multi-ton potential hazard on the highways isn't as bad as it once was. Indeed, it was scary to say the very least.

I grew up being raised by alcoholics. It saddens me to say that my father and both stepmothers were heavy drinkers. George had his own business. Some work weeks ended on Thursday night and began on the following Tuesday morning because he was a drunk. He tried unsuccessfully to stop a few times when I was young. Many nights I heard him raid the fridge for a beer in the predawn hours. It's taken most of my life to forgive him for what he could not control, to understand that he was truly sick and suffering.
