And I imagine you would have to wrap them to cook them that way (I never wrap them).
The only way I know to tell if a baked potato is done is to squeeze it. At 400 degrees it takes about 45 minutes to cook an average-to-large russet.

Cut into chunks, toss with olive oil and choice of seasonings, and bake for 40-60 mins at 350 F
