If the chase is not good for you, the spray bottle for a few minutes backing up with a yeowl.

My two cats do not go on counters.

They get fed canned food when visitors come, usually placed by the visitor. Thereby they are very sociable to all visitors.

If they move to get into a visitor's things or a plate of human food, my yeowl stops them in their tracks. Sounds and looks funny to the visitor, but it works. I am always ready to back that with a chase.

And, I usually pet for about 20 seconds each instance so they know they are loved.

That jumping on you has to stop. Or, trim the nails about once a week being careful not to take it back too far to the darkish back end of the nail. I do not do this any more. You need to be harsh for a few times that jumping occurs. NOT PETTING. Chasing. Butt hitting if they don't seem to get what the chase is about. Snarling. Yeowling.

All cats are different. This works for mine.
