I think using real fruit like the strawberries in the video would be better than candy pumpkins. I wonder if someone could come up with a less sweet version of the basic pie?

Oreos are already plenty sweet. If something not as sweet could be used as the "glue" to hold them together, that would be better.

Even better back up and make something similar but with a different base - fruit newtons could be used for the cookie part. Or even the Newton fruit cookies, crunched up. Mix with something like yogurt or cottage cheese (got that idea from this recipe on their site - No-Bake NEWTONS® Cheesecake), then proceed with the decorations with fruit and whatever.
