various stages and seasons, but I lack the equipment and skill to photograph it.

My favorite view of the moon is in October, when autumn winds blow wisps of clouds over it, like pieces of gauze that glow from within.

Or, same season, when heavier clouds surround and pass over it before a new wave of clouds blows in. Reminds me of the opening lines of The Highwayman: The moon was a ghostly galleon, tossed upon cloudy seas.

But yours immediaty brought Alice's Chessie to mind.
