Be careful in the Santa Catalina Mountains. Second fox attack reported. [View all]

A second person has been bitten by a fox in the Santa Catalina Mountains.

The 20-year old man was bitten Friday at the intersection of Lemon Rock
Lookout and Wilderness of the Rocks. He woke up to the fox sniffing his
sleeping bag, he then kicked the fox and was bitten.

He is being treated at a local hospital after being bitten by a gray fox, said
Mark Hart, public information officer for the Arizona Department of Game and Fish.

It's the same type of fox that bit another boy Thursday at Rose Canyon Lake
campground, which is about six miles from the other attack. Hart said officials
don't know whether the same animal bit both people, however it is uncommon
for fox to bite making it possible that this may be the same animal.
