He used to be my Congressman in gerrymandered California and no one ever ran against him except maybe a couple of times from candidates who had no chance of winning in even a blue gerrymandered district. So he's waltzed in unopposed in any elections. He was the anointed "heir" of Congressman Bill Thomas, a hateful and corrupt politician who once headed the Ways and Means committee. A little googling will get you to his abysmal and corrupt record. But back to Kevin. He has only two accomplishments on his record, according to Rachel Maddow, yet he rose to the third most powerful position in the Republican caucus in very little time and now will be speaker. Instead of a gavel, they should present him with a crown because only princes have gained that kind of position and power in the same way.
