1. I worked with a lot of unfunded pension

funds last year.

Main causes were poor decision making in the 90’s, the Great Recession of 2008, entities not making required pension contributions and people living longer.

None of these causes were manufactured by the pensioners but they get to take the blame.

I was lucky to work for Santa Barbara County. The County has always met it’s pension liabilities and our pension fund is managed by employees and county officials. The County is paying off it’s unfunded liability 13 years than it has too.
