We go into Detroit for the opera and ballet and musicals, which are excellent, by the way.

Belle Isle is a shadow of its former glory..I could spend hours there as a kid.

Bob-lo is now condos, so that's gone. The DIA is very fine. The Science Museum just closed for lack of money.

Shopping is good at the Fairlane Mall in Dearborn (I was born on the west side). Most of the old places are gone now...as far as groceries, you are on your own.
