Is Police and Crime Commissioners being merged with regional mayors. This much has been pretty much universally welcomed as it saves costs. Even though it does mean another round of mayoral elections this year.

The main concerns people have with the Mayor here are to do with public transport. With the South Yorkshire mayoral authority taking over the running of local tram services, this has meant a distinct lack of information about forthcoming changes as Mayor Coppard seeks to keep bad news to a minimum ahead of his reelection campaign.
