Trying to transfer Itunes file from Mac to Windows 10 laptop [View all]

For some reason on our old Mac, no matter what password my husband tries, not only will it not allow him in, but it says the hard drive is full. He needs to be able to log on in order to delete files. He's been wanting to move ipod files to an mp3, but no room to do it. So, now we have a new laptop and we can only access iTunes music he recently purchased, in fact, he doesn't remember purchasing much from them. Our/his catalogue is mostly cds he's loaded in, but some he bought many years ago, and can't find it in his iTunes account. I discovered there's a transfer tool, but it only goes up to Windows 8, not for Windows 10.
We'd really like to avoid having to reload it all....thank you in advance

It's an Ipod Nano, an old one

Info on our new laptop is:

Toshiba Satellite C55t-C
Windows 10 Home
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4005U CPU @ 1.70GHz 1.70 GB
64 bit operating system

Info for the Mac:
Mac Mini OS 7? I think
