It is so obvious, I am surprised that this has gotten so little attention.

The elderly, on fixed incomes and Medicare, would be hit very hard.

Free college was a ploy to pander to young people. It really doesn't help anyone else. It certainly doesn't help those who have already graduated and are deep in debt.
