Every pilot I know does an air density altitude check before taking off in the summer heat.
That includes all aircraft, private or commercial.
There is a little circular like slide rule. You put in the temperature and the altitude of the airport.

Altitude = less lift on wings
Temperature = density of the air = less lift on wings.

Maybe some pilot could tell us more about this topic?
