The recyclers only accept 1 and 2. I don’t know why, but the town recycling station says there appears to be no market for those plastics.

One interesting development is that they are now excepting a fairly wide range of plastic bags on behalf of the Lions, who then sell it to Trex for recycling into decking. This includes the plastics you get at the store for produce, the plastic for bags of ice, and feed bags. So that’s a nice development.
