2. Hope for the passage of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act

It is indeed and I hope that somehow we will get The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act passed. I can only pray that more Americans will become informed on how brutal the slaughter practices are and will understand that this issue not only affects our horses but the average American citizen as well.

The former slaughter house in Texas proved to be a blight on the working community as no business wanted to be located near such a facility and the town itself lost money due to it. On a purely political level, why would we want to dump our money into an effort we don't agree with in order to support an economically unsound venture in the midst of an economic downturn?

On a humane standpoint, there is absolutely no reason to support this whatsoever.
