I had to wait a damn year before I could get insurance there. Then when my anniversary came and went I didn't hear from them about it. I asked about it three times and my boss said it would be coming soon. He finally then actually asked somebody about it and it turned out that if he had not within the next day I would have had to wait another three months. Fucking bastards.

The shame is that that kind of thing isn't the exception in the trucking industry. Then they have the gonads to turn it around on the driver, blaming them for the high turnover rates. I shit you not, it is not uncommon for a carrier to have over a 100% turnover rate every year. To keep drivers you have to pay them well and treat them right. It's that easy, but they think it's some big mystery.

Fuck that. I've been doing this for 15 years, but I'm done with it as soon as possible. When I started driving an old driver said to me that he's been doing this for 40 years and every day it gets worse. I didn't believe him then, but I do now.
