3. Can you go visit a unit?

Even just the waiting room might help. I've worked in plenty of hospitals over the years (and other institutions).

I can tell a lot just by walking down the hallway (how it felt, safety, openness). You can see if there is an air of calm, order, respect.

As for how well a month of treatment can go - well, it can get someone pointed in the right direction (which is a good thing). But as you know, the work is ongoing - and that hard work starts post-discharge.
