4. Well, this one did have its roots ripped up out of the ground. You could see the nice bowl of clay

it was growing in. We trimmed it way back and put it upright again and I guess it appreciated the gesture. One of my neighbors was smug in his assertion that we were never going to save that tree. I just smile and wave when he goes by now.
