VIAN - A 31-year-old man was shot and killed in his Sequoyah County driveway on Saturday, Sheriff Ron Lockhart told an Arkansas newspaper.
Stanley Leon Ross died of a single gunshot wound to the upper body, Lockhart told the Southwest Times Record of Fort Smith, Ark. The man was shot around 7:45 p.m., eight miles north-northeast of Vian near Oklahoma 82.
Deputies arrested James Arthur Moffett on a complaint of public intoxication at the scene. An additional complaint of negligent homicide was later added, the paper reported.
Lockhart said he was not ready to release information about a possible motive but did say the shooting was alcohol-related, according the Times Record ...
