A 25-year-old man was found shot and killed in a car in South Nashville early this morning, Metro Police said.
Frederic Grant was found dead of a gunshot wound inside a black Chevy Monte Carlo near the intersection of Utopia Avenue and Edison Street at 1:25 a.m., police spokesman Don Aaron said.
Grants car rolled down the street and struck a utility pole after he was shot, Aaron said. Grant was armed but doesnt appear to have fired his weapon ...

A gun was found in Grant's waistband, but it had not been discharged.
A man had called the police non-emergency line just before 1:30 a.m. Monday to report a suspicious vehicle parked near his business.
A short time later, the man called police to report the car had ran into a utility pole. He said he saw a woman go up to the car, and discover the shooting victim ...
