Montgomery County Sheriffs dispatchers received a call from a woman driving on Redbud Road around 9:15 a.m. Monday morning about a man on the side of the road in an unpopulated area of the Magnolia Bend subdivision, just south of Stidham Road south of Conroe, according to a Montgomery County Sheriffs Office press release.
When emergency personnel and deputies arrived, they determined the man had been shot in the head and pronounced him dead on the scene.
While deputies were working the scene on Redbud Road, deputies and officers with the Conroe Police Department were at a location on Moorehead Road investigating claims from a witness who believed her husband, Perry Taylor, had killed her previous boyfriend.
While speaking with Taylor at his home on Moorehead Road, deputies noticed evidence inside a pick-up truck suggesting that a crime had occurred ...

CONROE MAN KILLS NEW WIFE'S EX

A Conroe man, Perry Taylor, was charged with the murder of his wife's ex boyfriend on Monday.
Early that morning a driver spotted Russell Bointontt, 51, dead on Magnolia Bend near Redbud Road and called the police. When Montgomery County sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, they determined Bointnott had been shot once in the head.
About the same time, a little after 9am, Katherine Taylor reported to authorities that she believes the man that she married this past Saturday shot her ex boyfriend, Bointnott. When deputies arrived at Taylor's home on Moorehead Rd for questioning, they found evidence in his truck that lead them to believe he was involved in the shooting.
