FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. -- A woman was found lying in the street with multiple bullet wounds in Fort Walton Beach on Wednesday evening.
The shooting took place shortly after 5 p.m.on South Avenue, near the Thornhill Road intersection.
Officials say the female victim received at least five gunshot wounds to the back.
The victim was taken by Lifeflight to a Pensacola hospital ...

A woman who suffered multiple gunshot wounds outside her Fort Walton Beach area home Wednesday night is identified as 32-year old Tamera Sheffield.
Okaloosa County Sheriffs deputies were called to the intersection of South Avenue and Thornhill Road around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday after witnesses say a man pulled a gun and shot Sheffield multiple times during an argument in the street. The shooter then jumped into a car and sped away. The car was later recovered on Greenwood Avenue and is being processed for evidence ...
