The article was great, but so were the comments after it. Here's one that really stood out to me...

Mitch believes in social Darwinism. He survived polio. He’s a winner. Those other people that died? They needed to be winnowed out. Veterans actually dying right now? Speeding up the process will save money he can give to defense contractors on boondoggles. He’s a goddamn real life monster.
