If Venus is guilty of illegally entering an intersection, then the other driver is, too, because Venus was in it first and it was her car that was hit. You're supposed to yield the right of way to traffic in an intersection you want to enter no matter what color the light is -- and even if it got here illegally. Venus could be found totally not at fault (if not totally at fault), which would reduce the size of any settlement -- if any.
