3. PS4's a really good choice, I recently marathoned the Kingdom Hearts games on mine.

Plus there's stuff like Crash Bandicoot Insane Trilogy and Uncharted as well.

As for the Switch there's stuff like a new Mario title on the way along with Metroid, Xenoblade, among others so while it has some good ports it hasn't quite filled out it's library yet so waiting was probably a pretty good choice.
