The Talos Principle [View all]

I just finished this on Xbox One and can recommend it. There is a LOT of gameplay for only $4.49. It is a slow-paced casual first-person puzzle game. There is an AI-themed backstory there for atmosphere, but it is all about the puzzles. They are completely standalone and use a few basic building blocks like fans and lasers and, well, blocks. When you start a puzzle, the puzzle elements are mostly laid out in plain sight without having to find hidden objects or obscure interactions. The difficulty is in figuring out how to connect all the dots, and it is HARD. There are many variations on a theme with some deception and lateral thinking involved. I only cheated twice, and one of those cheats I'd like back (I had brain lock on it). The other, well, they got me.
