The theremin is an electronic musical instrument that was used in "The Day The Earth Stood Still". It also makes that woo-wooey sound in "Good Vibrations".

This should mess with their heads in my very conservative area. Hell, I have the only non-neutral colored house in town (not white, beige or brown) so they decided a "buncha Mezzcans musta moved in." That is how unimaginative these folks are.

Takes very little to baffle 'em.
