so glad to hear you and yours are safe....

My best friend had a BIG pine tree snap off and the top fell thru her roof last year/christmas time... the whole fam was in the living rm, if it had happened five minutes sooner the kids would have been in their rooms...half the house was totaled (the kids rooms and the garage). She was a renter, and while they didn't have to deal with the house damages, they did lose personal items and were even unable to go thru certain rooms till spring when the snow melted...
to this day, she still has dreams of the sound the tree made when it fell... *shudder*
