I hope you consider it seriously. I was there when I was not quite 30 - a good while ago - and it is one of the highlights of my life.
I went up by switchback roads on the bus, and it scared me so bad I walked down through the jungle.
The Urumbamba river flows there, and the train ride to Cusco is spectacular as well.
