Is it going to orbit the Earth at 1mil miles, or is it going to orbit the Sun along with us?
I've seen the latter simulated on TV, but that may be ignorance of news producers. If it orbits the planet it will move between 92 million and 94 mile orbit around the Sun and be eclipsed by at times.

Perhaps it will orbit Earth synchronized to keep it 1 mil miles from both us and the Sun, in which case it will effectively orbit the Sun.

I don't understand this orbit at all.

Thanks. Bookmarked. lamp_shade Dec 2021 #1
