If so, it's wider than I thought!

So many online pics of the Potomac that I've seen look pretty narrow, like it wouldn't be too hard to swim across it!

I had some ancestors from the Loudoun Valley in Virginia who helped ferry slaves into Maryland (on their way to Pennsylvania and further north), but I've never actually visited that area.
