(84,711 posts)We don't yet know what Trump would do. But, his calling out of Bush II and his statements against the Iraq invasion do seem to be sincere. There was no reason for him to attack Bush and put "9/11" on the table, given that he's running as a Republican and South Carolina is a big "rah rah" military state. OTOH he wants to use pig blood dipped bullets to kill ISIS! Most of the Red Southern states were big Bush II/McCain/Palin supporters and have either military installations or they manufacture for military in some way and one would have thought going after Bush & 9/11 would be a huge turn off for any Repub voters. His railing against the TPP and all our other trade agreements is also puzzling.
Who knows if he believes what he says...but, why take a chance and say it unless he thinks he can sell it, and so far he has. His behavior is so bizarre, though, one wonders if he has some personal problems going on. I've even wondered if his "Trump Businesses" are in danger of collapse and running for President was his way of getting out of what was coming. A narcissist, like him, would probably see running for President as just another "Business Venture,"challenge.
