2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: Shame on anyone who finds this acceptable in a politician [View all]To those that aren't ashamed by this, are okay with it. Well, the reality is those with the money to line the politicians pockets will get more access than those without that money. That's just black and white, it's the truth. Politicians that take this money will be, have to be, influenced by it, that is just the reality. Clinton unfortunately is bought and paid for, she is, it's okay, just own it, she's a product of the system, she is a centrist right corporate democrat. She is not a "progressive." I believe the moral "progressive" stance on this issue, is not to take this money to define your political stance. That's the moral thing to do, the right thing to do. I guess the same people that are okay with this are also okay with obfuscated truth, well, I'm burnt out as hell over obfuscated truth. So be okay, with your candidate for who she is, the facts are the facts, if you are okay with this, fine, go vote for her, more power to you. But the reality of her being a progressive will never be actual reality. Just like her at the debate knowingly undercut Sanders position on the auto bailout. What's the truth and what you are ok with, well that's your call right? But don't say these speeches along with her obfuscation on facts, that everyone else don't see these things for what they are. Anyways, thanks OP great post.
