2016 Postmortem

(12,233 posts)The industry and Obama worked a bit against the idea by saying a system like that couldn't go into effect in 2014 like most of the ACA, but could go into effect in 2017. The state of VT has, in my opinion, an ass hat of a Governor now (only won because of the D behind his name, but quite asshole of a man)... anyway, the legislation gets passed to go single payer, a million dollar study goes into effect (btw with the guy who called voters f-ing morons in regards to the ACA and had to be fired), to check on the costs of starting this or not (hello waste of money for a state that doesn't need million dollar anythings). So, this past year, after legislation has passed this bill and all, the Governor basically cans the single payer project and decides that schools are too small and teachers are making too much and the state needs to make bigger school districts as a cost saving measure... He's a tool.
This is the explanation my Mom gave me...
