(57,936 posts)If Hillary wins the nomination, the real fight is still ahead.
And that fight is saving Social Security, expanding Medical care for all citizens as a right, debt-free post-secondary education and training, paid family leave, reform of our justice system and most important, saving our environment.
Immigration reform is really important too, but if Bernie is not the Democratic candidate, I have little hope for that. Hillary will not need to focus on immigration reform, and it probably won't be her priority because she will probably be looking for a war to fight.
If Trump is the president, I wish immigrants good luck. If Hillary is the president, she won't be able to do the things for immigrants that need to be done. She won't dare, and won't need to make that a priority. Morality does not motivate Hillary the way it does Bernie.
If elected, Bernie will do everything possible for immigrants no matter what simply because it is the moral thing to do.
Bernie is the only candidate who truly believes in human rights.
