As of last week, the Clinton campaign had only two campaign offices in South Carolina: one in Charleston and another in the capital, Columbia, with just 14 full-time staffers including state director Clay Middleton. The campaign also has nine get out the vote sites smaller-scale sites devoted to turnout across the state.
The Sanders campaign, meanwhile, had 240 staffers on the ground as of last week 80 percent of them African-American spread across 10 offices statewide.

The Vermont senator's presidential campaign is looking ahead and building an organization in South Carolina, making two hires on Tuesday to add to its Charleston-based team.
Andrew Springer, formerly the senior editor of social media at ABC News, joined Sanders' South Carolina team as the state communications director on Wednesday. And Christale Spain, the deputy executive director for the South Carolina Democratic Party, will start her role as Sander's political outreach director there on Sept. 15th.
Democratic insiders in South Carolina characterize Spain's move as a savvy hire for the Sanders team - in part because of her strong relationships with African American constituency groups in the state, where black voters could make up over half of of the primary electorate.
Hillary Clinton's team has pointed to South Carolina and her support among African-Americans as a bulwark if she stumbles in mostly-white Iowa and New Hampshire. Her husband remains very popular in the state, but she was still clobbered there by Barack Obama in the 2008 Democratic primary, thanks to his support in the African-American community. It remains to be seen how much support Sanders would be able to pick up against Clinton.

With an insurmountable deficit, Sanders spent much less time than Clinton in South Carolina last week. He campaigned Wednesday, Thursday and part of Friday in Midwestern states that hold primaries next month, including some that have primaries Tuesday.
Still, he did invest heavily in South Carolina, with 200 paid staff on the ground and an aggressive television advertising campaign.
Sanders came back to South Carolina Friday, but he flew out again Saturday to campaign in Texas and Minnesota, where he held a rally as polls closed in South Carolina.

Sanders has about 200 paid staffers working in South Carolina, the campaign said, and has spent about $1 million on ads there in the past 30 days, according to Kantar Media's CMAG, which tracks political ad spending. He's making progress. Sanders trailed Clinton by nearly 50 percentage points in December, according to a RealClear Politics polling average. He's slashed the gap in half, but still trails by a yawning 24 percentage points as of last week.....Sanders started advertising in the state in mid-January, according to data from Kantar Media's CMAG, which estimates that Sanders has spent more than $1 million on broadcast outlets to the state. It hired its first paid staffers last August, and has disclosed spending $489,000 on campaign workers in the state through the end of January, according to its disclosures filed with the Federal Election Commission. In Iowa, the nation's first nominating contest, the campaign had 133 paid staffers. According to Aneesa McMillan, a campaign spokeswoman, the effort is being aided by thousands of volunteers from South Carolina and other parts of the country.

Seems like you're a bit piqued that you've been shown to have backed a rather lame horse.
