Bernie won by the exact amount he needed tonight. 13% [View all]

Not counting donkey votes and uninstructed votes, Sanders still needs to win 56.5% (vs 43.5%), in other words a 13% margin of the remaining delegates. I know delegate math is a bit more complicated than that, but he won 56.4% to 43.2% (again, because of uninstructed, write in, O'Malley, etc votes).

So he won by 13-13.3%. Exactly what he needed.

I think America needs to start preparing for Bernie's inauguration in January 2017 Cali_Democrat Apr 2016 #1
Well, I have him up by 13.1%, which is considerably more than he needs. mhatrw Apr 2016 #2
It will still come down to exactly how the delegates are allocated. SheilaT Apr 2016 #3
Am I correct to say that he gained a delegate or two in Iowa also? DemocracyDirect Apr 2016 #4
I'm not sure. SheilaT Apr 2016 #6
Still at 99% on this site (and it's not clear if they are counting supers but he did it) Dragonfli Apr 2016 #5
Unless Bernie starts attracting a lot more black voters he's done. JRLeft Apr 2016 #7
We need to be careful about treating black voters as a monolithic block. DemocracyDirect Apr 2016 #8
A) I don't think saying 'more' is treating them as a monolith Erich Bloodaxe BSN Apr 2016 #39
I agree with you both. DemocracyDirect Apr 2016 #40
He needed 60 delegates. He got 45. baldguy Apr 2016 #9
That's old, Sanders big wins out west and Nevada flip have reduced that HereSince1628 Apr 2016 #10
Gaining 1-2 delegates in NV does not negate the need to win by 37 or more in WI baldguy Apr 2016 #18
Um, he needs 49... He will likely get that... maybe 47-48 MillennialDem Apr 2016 #14
Your math is wrong. morningfog Apr 2016 #30
Greenpapers has the delegate allocation at 48-38... SidDithers Apr 2016 #11
Did you fail math? 56.5% of 86 = 48.59. MillennialDem Apr 2016 #15
Did you fail civics?... SidDithers Apr 2016 #20
Bernie needed to win 48-49 delegates. He did just that. And no, you are not smarter than MillennialDem Apr 2016 #21
Yup. And that's in a white state with an open primary. DanTex Apr 2016 #12
He needed alot more than that. DCBob Apr 2016 #13
Not really. It's 56.5% of remaining delegates. Unless you think he should be padding his lead even MillennialDem Apr 2016 #16
They're moving the goalposts... It's all they got left (besides a scorched earth strategy...) berni_mccoy Apr 2016 #17
"If Bernie loses, I won't vote for Hillary" isn't a scorched earth strategy? baldguy Apr 2016 #19
Bern it all down. MillennialDem Apr 2016 #24
Ah, another Trump/Cruz supporter. baldguy Apr 2016 #26
Nope. Will write in Bernie or stay home. MillennialDem Apr 2016 #28
As I said. baldguy Apr 2016 #29
Hillary offers nothing, especially deposing horrible state governors and legislators in off MillennialDem Apr 2016 #31
Hillary offers everything Sanders does, plus intelligence, competance & the ability to deliver. baldguy Apr 2016 #35
Then why are her numbers in the toilet with millennials? MillennialDem Apr 2016 #37
