I bet she invites all those folks she's met. All those we saw onstage at the Democratic Convention. The Khans. The brave mothers of fallen young blacks. So many people whose stories gripped our hearts - through their struggles, pain, suffering, and sacrifice. It wouldn't surprise me to see many, or all, of those folks. And the little girls - the one who confidently spoke at the convention and the little one fearful of her parents being deported whom Hillary met on a campaign stop.

I hope many or all of them get to go! To view an inauguration is profound and stunningly stupendous, just anyway! But when you have a chance to watch history being made? I have another "st" word - STAGGERING. Our son was a presidential scholar in high school and earned a trip to Washington DC to witness the first inauguration of the First Black President of the United States. It's a moment he will NEVER forget, and I'm so glad he was already becoming aware of the larger world and politics by then, so he WILL remember it when he's much older. Man, he came back with stories! He wanted to make sure I knew that he and his student group were also near the area where dubya and Laura Bush left Washington by helicopter that same day, and the nearby crowd broke into a group sing of "Na-na-na-na, Na-na-na-na, HEY-hey-hey, Gooo-oood BYE!" I remember him calling me to report that moment, specifically!

I hope all those people get to go. All of them!
