Just voted in NC. Long line. Took more time than usual. [View all]

Husband and I usually vote on Election Day because it normally takes less time than waiting in early voting lines. Today line was out the door.

After a bit, we noticed several empty voting booths. Never the shrinking violet, I walked to the front. There were three people sitting at the registration desk. There were three computers but only one person was checking in voters. I said, "What is this? Normally there's more than one person doing this. Is this voter suppression?" They stared at me then said, "No." I replied, "Well, it kinda looks like it." then returned to my place in line. Within less than two minutes, all three people at the desk were calling for the next voter. Suddenly the line was moving right along.

A close friend is a DNC poll monitor. After voting, I called her and told her what happened. Don't let obstruction win. Vote. Vote. Vote.
