The GOP are making their base angry on how Obama has 'used the bin laden issue politically' so that [View all]
the base or independants will not cede any territory (beliefs) to Obama on the bin laden issue. Anger does that. It prepares you to fight for territory without any sober second thoughts. So when they make their base angry, they make them stubborn and closed to any new idea or feeling (gratitude towards Obama for getting bin Laden).
