You have to go for the Democrat even if you are not happy with who it is. I always vote a straight Democratic ticket, even if I don't like the person I am voting for. The only time I won't is when the person is under indictment or has committed a serious crime, then I just don't cast a vote for that office.
Doesn't seem to bother the Texas Republicans, they elected the Texas state Attorney general is under indictment right now.
