Utah was the last state to allow them vote. That law was passed in mid-50s.

Native American women are at a tremendous disadvantage even today. Rapes on reservations are often neither investigated nor prosecuted. Reservation authorities are not recognized and can't pursue suspects outside the reservation. Local LE has no authority to act on crimes committed on the reservation.
