13. Cops need to gain some perspective, many other occupations are far more dangerous and often

are not Unionized, well compensated and protected by benefits. It's more dangerous to be in the fishing industry, to be a roofer, to be a pilot or flight engineer, a truck driver, any number of occupations have far more fatalities and far more major injuries. Law enforcement does not even make the top ten of most dangerous jobs. Ranchers, machinists, loggers, all suffer more injury and death that the police do.
Also, none of those other occupations take lives themselves, the police kill and injure more people than kill or injure them, loggers do not.

But somehow the cops are the most frequent whiners about the extreme fears they have on the job. 'If I wanted to be a hero, I'd fish for crab or work construction, policing should be totally safe except for the people the cops kill!!!!!'
