We already have great candidates running for Senate here. It is already a long shot that any of them will actually oust Cornyn.

However, Beto on the National ticket? That could be the “2-step” that brings Texas out of the Red and into the Blue!

Texas has this weird and unhealthy brand of “nationalism” when it comes to Texas. Cornyn vs Beto for Senate? 2 Texans. Cornyn will likely etch out a win. However, Beto against Trump?? Texan vs New Yorker?? Oh hell yes, Texas would be VERY much in play..

Not only would it be in play for the GE for POTUS, but just as Beto’s energy helped gain us some seats in the house (including my own with Lizzie Fletcher, the FIRST Democratic Party Rep for my district since the 1960’s when George HW Bush sat this district!!!), but we could gain the Presidency and that 1 seat that could well end up being the difference between 2 more years of Moscow Mitch, or Schumer leading the majority in the Senate!!
