Democratic Primaries

(47,430 posts)Its been a long day.
It isn't the policies so much, it is primarily the person. I don't think Sanders has the necessary qualities to be president. I'm tired of the constant anger and the attacks on the Democratic party. It doesn't inspire unity or hope. He seems incapable of compromise or apologizing.
I am especially discouraged by the types of people he hires for his campaign and makes me wonder who would he hire as president? Turner or Sirota? Or people like them? He doesn't seem to be in control of his campaign, which indicates that he lacks real leadership skills.
There is so much more to being president than great ideas or policies. All our candidates have some wonderful ideas, but not all of them know how to make them reality.
Then there is a matter of foreign policy and I really have no idea how Bernie would deal with foreign leaders. I don't think that is a strong suit for him. Most of his political career has been spent representing Vermont, a state of only 626,000 people. Is he really ready for a national AND and international role?
Nina Turner said tonight that Bernie was an FDR Democrat, but that's not true. Roosevelt had much more diverse experience and he was a master at politics and negotiation. He was calm, upbeat, and reassuring, even when he was verbally destroying his opponents. People trusted him and believed things would get better.
There's a lot more, but like I said, I'm getting tired! Have a good night!
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
