Here in NC, the power companies keep all the brush and debris clear of all power lines, including on homeowner's properties...to the point that even if you have a magnificent dogwood tree in full maturity in your own front yard, they will come thru and decimate it to keep any branches away from the power lines overhead. They work at it year round. I like to call them the tree rapists. But they are efficient.
